With winter in full swing, our skin changes with it. You may be feeling more dry and chapped with the cooler temperatures which makes this the perfect time to change up your skin care routine.
TIPS & TRICKS FROM O2 AESTHETICIAN, ANDREA MAYOR:
Changing to a cream cleanser vs a foaming cleanser helps to keep the good oils on your skin. Foaming cleansers tend to remove oil and dry out the skin, switching to a cream cleanser is ideal for the winter months!
Suggested cleanser: Lauit U VIP O2 by Biologique.
During the winter months it is still vital that we exfoliate the dry dead skin off, BUT it is beneficial to use a more gentle exfoliator to not irritate the skin. Changing from a granular exfoliator to a gentle liquid exfoliator is recommended.
Suggested exfoliant: P50W by Bilologique
Using a hydrating masque bi-weekly or weekly is highly recommended for the winter months. During the summer months the humidity naturally gives our skin more hydration. As the season changes and the weather gets drier we need to add hydrating products to our skincare routine. Adding a masque is the best way to ensure you are getting a boost of hydration during these months.
Suggested Masque: Masque Biosensible *Soothing *Moisturizing *Protective
Adding a serum between cleansing and moisturising to your routine can be a game changer. Serums absorb quickly into your skin and help lock-in moisture to ensure that your skin doesn't dry out during the day.
Suggested Serum: Colostrum VG by Biologique
A great winter facial moisturizer enhances the moisture content of your skin while also improving its smoothness. This step will help distribute and lock water in all facial zones for long-lasting hydration and comfort.
Suggested Moisturizer: Creme Hydravit's * It acts on several levels to infuse the epidermis with deep-down, instant yet long-lasting hydration.
