Q: How excited are you about this new approach to micro-needling?
A: We couldn't be more excited. The Biologique subtle approach redefines micro-needling. In the past, we used longer needles, and what we're learning is that BR's .25 needles are the perfect length to stimulate collagen production and experience the anti-aging benefits while still protecting the skin from too much penetration. There's less downtime and less pain, but the same effects.
Q: How often do you recommend receiving an MPL treatment?
A: Like most skincare techniques, consistency is important. To experience the full benefit, we recommend this as a monthly treatment, especially when getting started.
Q: How should I prepare for the treatment?
A: There is little prep work that you need to do; we'll take care of cleansing and exfoliating your skin prior to the treatment.
Q: What can we expect in the treatment?
A: We use beautiful cleansers and exfoliators from Biologique Recherche to prep the skin. Then we will apply a highly effective, and targeted serum for the micropuncture treatment. We'll apply the serum, use the needle once over your face, apply the serum again, and then proceed once more with the device. This maximizes effectiveness and really stimulates rejuvenation while absorbing all the incredible benefits from the serum as well. Because Biologique Recherche uses a smaller needle than traditional methods, you may experience moments of being uncomfortable but more than likely, you won't need numbing creme or anything of the sort. It's really quite mild!
Q: What should I expect for downtime?
A: It's very minimal, which is so nice! You may be slightly red the day of, but you can expect a beautiful glow the following day with little to no downtime.
